# Quickstart

> Sign in with Google, tell Continual about your business, and read Continual's first message.

You need a Google account and a few minutes. You end with your own organization and a thread where
Continual is already at work.

## Set up your business

<Steps>
  <Step title="Sign in with Google">
    Open Continual and choose **Continue with Google**. By continuing, you agree to the Terms and
    Privacy Policy.
  </Step>
  <Step title="Choose where you start">
    Under **Let’s get to work.**, choose **Grow my business** or **Start a business**.
  </Step>
  <Step title="Describe the business">
    To grow a business, enter your website, such as `yourcompany.com`, and choose **Continue**.
    Continual names the business from it. No website yet? Choose **Tell us what you do**, describe
    what you sell and who buys it, then enter the business's name.

    To start a business, describe your idea in a sentence or two, and choose **Continue**.

    You can choose **Skip for now** on a description or a name. Continual asks for what it needs in
    your thread.

  </Step>
  <Step title="Wait while Continual sets up your organization">
    You see **Setting up** and your business's name. Continual creates your organization, makes you
    its admin, installs its apps, and opens your thread. If something stops it, you see **That
    didn’t work.** and the reason. Choose **Try again**.
  </Step>
  <Step title="Read Continual's first message">
    Continual opens your thread with what it starts on, such as "I'm getting to know your business
    from https://yourcompany.com: what you sell, and who buys it." It keeps working while you read.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Callout type="note" title="Your colleagues can join">
  If your company uses Google Workspace, an admin can claim its domain, so
  colleagues who sign in with it can find and join your organization. See [join
  by email domain](/docs/concepts/members#join-by-email-domain).
</Callout>

## Sign in to an organization that exists

When you sign in, Continual lists the organizations you can open:

- **Your organizations** lists the ones you belong to. Choose one to open it.
- **Open to your domain** lists organizations that anyone at your company's domain can join. Choose
  **Join**.
- **Create an organization** sets up a new business, as above.

If you have none of these, setup starts at once. If someone invited your email address, you join
their organization when you sign in with that Google account.

## Try these next

Write in **Message Continual** at the bottom of your thread and press <Kbd>↵</Kbd>. Press <Kbd>/</Kbd>
to jump to the box. Some things to ask:

- "Show me our open deals."
- "Draft a follow-up to every quote nobody answered this week."
- "What should I do first today?"

When Continual opens a record or a list, it shows beside your thread. When it needs a decision, it
offers choices you pick with one key. Before a change the business is bound by, such as issuing an
invoice, it asks you to **Approve** or **Decline**. See [approvals](/docs/concepts/approvals).

When Continual needs you to act, it gives you a to-do. The count on **To-dos**, in the message box,
says how many wait. Switch to **To-dos** and open one to work on it. See
[work through your to-dos](/docs/guides/work-your-to-dos).
